(Think you did once... What my actual question was though, if memory serves, was 'what do you call these people living there who preexisted the modern state of Israel?')

Also, you said something like 'all from Egypt and Jordan'.... I'm not exactly certain on the dates, but was there even a 'Jordan' back during the era of the UN assigned British Protectorate over the area (between the World Wars, but after the modern Zionism movement began it's back-to-the-homeland drive? Wasn't it called something like "Trans-Jordan", and with different borders? Just askin'....
