to be fair -- I have only read very short excerpts ... perhaps there is some good stuff in there, but I'll be honest with you: The insurance premium for my wife -- which I buy separately from where I work -- because it would be prohibitive where I work -- the premium was raised 33% this year. I believe there is one primary reason for this rise in costs to insure and only one: government meddling!! Another couple 33% rises and we'll reconsider insurance altogether -- we have to really compute risks. The max out of pocket on the policy is 5k -- I don't want to tell you how much I am paying to avoid 5k or more -- but the point is -- the premium doesn't match the risks. I'm no fool -- I can't believe that the average risk to the companies for someone her age in her condition (no prior) problems, late 40's -- is even 2500. It is government meddling in the markets that has made insurance unaffordable for so many -- what will be the result of this BS? I'll tell you -- just more taxes -- more control of what doctors can or will do for you. It's pure bulloney -- just like the cap&trade. Taxing those that produce CO2 is not going to usher in some sort of green revolution. Fairy tales for the ignorati!!
