Loretta, I did same research, came to conclusion that SACM would be one of the great all-time shorts. I now regret that statement. This is EXTREMELY ALARMING imho, as much has been made here of the premise that anyone can make a scanner, it's all in the software, etc, etc. I don't think these guys are going to compete head-up against us everywhere. However, what I'm concerned about is the ease with which an undercapitalized, out-in-the-sticks company can come up with state-of-the-art competitive technology and get aligned with Novell. They at least can hire marketing people who get the job done!!!!

But, as of 12/31/96, they had total assets of $405,000 with liabilities in excess of that. Total 1996 sales of a blistering $32000 (no zeros forgotten). Market cap today of $90 million. How do we get IDX to be similiarly valued?<< And to really be a bother, it had a huge run up in July 97 (more than 100%). Thinly traded volume. Go figure... Ed
