Desktop background choices causing slow logon. . .

I haven't given the issue much time for a few reasons.

Most importantly, it wasn't causing any real "harm." Everything worked fine once the desktop appeared.

But the real reason is that in a jiffy, I was able to create a .JPG file with Paint and solve the problem. And as a bonus, I was able to "personalize" it a bit by putting my name in the corner.

I've noted the link you provided. Maybe Microsoft will fix this.

It's a shame I didn't notice it earlier. I've been working with Windows 7 since January and if I caught this "feature" then, maybe it wouldn't have escaped into the world on October 22.

In the mean time, this is on a back burner. I'll check MsConfig Boot Logging when my curiosity overpowers my laziness; and it always does.
