The year is 1995 (around October). There is a high-flying stock of a second-string company in the chip industry -- IDTI. The stock has come down from its highs of about 30 to around 20. A "bargain-hunter" gets in at 20.

The stock goes down further and further to 16, 14, 12... Finally, it goes to 10 and stays there, seemingly forever. Two full years later, it is around 11 or so. "Bargain-hunter" says he is just sick and tired of this damn dog. If only it gets to 17 or 18, he'll get off...

The year is 1997 (around June). There is a high-flying stock of a second-string company in the networking industry -- ASND. The stock has come down from its highs of about 80 to about 55. Our "bargain-hunter" gets in at 54.

The stock goes down further and further to 45, 35, 27...

Two full years later... ????
