The days of thinking of the USD as a safe haven I think are numbered.

I just don't see investors piling into the USD like they did in 9/08 and 10/08 after they have seen what B. and the Admin. have done (and will do) when they have to fight to keep the 'recovery' going.

In fact, a failure to seek out the USD as a safe haven when volatility and turmoil hit, as I think we are beginning to see, again, is going to be by itself very bad for the bucko.

I just looked at the gold chart, it looks like it's now poised once again to lurch higher... even with the firmer dollar, so even a stronger dollar may not be able to hold gold down... crude is another story and looks weak here...
