I can name ten off the top of my head, which is by no means a comprehensive list.

It is ironic that America has the highest rate of crime in most categories compared from country to country, while having the most powerful military force and justice system the world has ever seen.

Human infidelity is so out of control, its dismissed as normal, even acceptable.

Wastefulness is considered good for the economy.

We point the arrogant finger of judgement at a sensationalized event involving some battering of a Muslim woman in the third world while we have the highest rate of rapes, assaults, molestations, harassments, and murders of any nation. Reports and convictions totaling in the hundreds of thousands per year, with multiples of that going unreported.

Lying is so acceptable, the common phrase “Hey, all politicians lie” is just winked at.

Being rewarded for hard work and excellence has taken a back seat to protected status and entitlement.

Spiteful extremism is the popular role model, where the definition of friendship is wrapped around alliances instead of a regard for the well being of others. If humanity survives this it will be seen as the mental plague of our generation.

We elect politicians to fix us instead of electing politicians to represent us while we are working hard to produce value and goodness.

We let the entertainment media determine our priorities. We spend a lot of time and resources giving a crap about the youthful problems of Brittany Spears et al, while it is estimated there are between 143 million and 210 million orphans worldwide (recent UNICEF report.) They die of treatable disease and starvation, they commit suicide, the survivors turn to prostitution or become hardened criminals as teens.

People seem to think that there is not enough outrage to get things changed for the better when in fact that is usually the source of our problems.

No. Certainly we have far more than 10 problems in our country.

None of them change what I wrote* or make the former Soviet Union superior to us in anyway.

*The system our forefathers created, though not perfect, seems the best on earth I know of. Its led to unprecedented liberty and prosperity for > 200 years. Furthermore, America has been a bastion and defender of freedom and decency against the worst and most murderous tyrants human history has produced. Tens of millions, no hundreds of millions, are alive and free today because of America's efforts. The US is by far the most benign world power in world history.
