I know you didn't ask me, but America Online (AOL) is looking like a rotting plum about to fall from the tree. I think it's the next Descend Communications.

Michael, an excellent resource for short candidates is Roger's short thread: exchange2000.com

For Y2K, ZITL is still great. Also check out ACLY & IAIC! I started shorting other Y2K stocks a couple of weeks ago - and the prices have dropped dramatically. Here were my recommendations: exchange2000.com

BTW, if I remember correctly, you predicted losses over $6M for the quarter - congratulations!
Best Regards, Bill

Next great short- Don't forget DDIM. I agree ACLY & IAIC are great candidates, but DDIM wil report third quarter results on November 6th. The CEO Larry Martin has a lot of similarities to Jack King; he has whipped expectations so high DDIM is very likely to disappoint on 11/6. Throw in the recent resignation of the CFO and COO, difficulty replacing them, aggressive accounting, an incredibly hyped product (Ardes 2K), a couple of very large momentum style holders, and I think you have the ingredients for a great short.
