I'm not ashamed to be a californian. I'm disgusted with the idiots who have taken control of our beautiful state. One thing to remember is that, even though there is an overwhelming liberal tone in the cities, there are still more conservatives in our state than in almost all other states. I think Texas may be an exception. The way that California is chasing the entertainment and high tech industries out of california, we might just get to a place where the liberals become a fringe element here someday.

You shouldn't be ashamed imo. You are from one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And most of the people I have met from California are friendly and kind. I remember dreaming of coming to your state when I was a teenager with a good voice and lots of ambition. I thought if I could make it anywhere I could make it in California. I considered it the true land of opportunity. Real life led me down a different path........for which I am grateful.......but I still think of your state in that way, and I am always amazed at the geography, and climate and beauty when I visit.
