Jerry, No I did not notice the filing. There does seem to be continued drilling and exploration news coming out of the gulf area near BDCO's properties and proposed storage facility. Notice that much of the production is being shut in for development.

Barrett Resources, Denver, participated in five successful exploratory wells and three successful development wells
in the Gulf of Mexico. At High Island Block A-545, Barrett along with operator/partner Shell Offshore encountered
52 feet of gas pay. The well has been temporarily abandoned as a producer awaiting completion in early 1998.
Development plans may result in several additional wells being drilled. Barrett and partner Basin Exploration
discovered gas in West Cameron Block 56 No. 15 well. The well logged 78 feet of net gas pay and will be placed on
production during the first quarter of 1998.

The other discoveries include West Cameron Block 528 No. 1 well, Eugene Island Block 268 No. 1 well and Eugene
Island Block 386 No. 1 well; development planning is under way for these wells. Barrett also participated in Wells
No. 5 and 6 on the Ship Shoal Block 45 field, operated by Helis Estate of New Orleans. The No. 5 well logged 37 feet
of oil pay and 60 feet of gas pay. The No. 6 well logged 37 feet of oil pay and 43 feet of gas pay. Production is shut-in
pending completion of a production facility now being installed. First oil will flow in November. Barrett also
participated with Enserch in the East Cameron Block 303 No. 2 well; production will begin later this month after a
platform is installed. Barrett said it will participate in six additional wells in the Gulf of Mexico for the remainder of
the year.
