Businesses and middle-class working people are leaving the state in droves, and it's NOT because the taxes are too low or because government is too small. It's because Sacramento has created such a hostile business environment that people who do pay taxes would rather move to a scorching desert (or in your case, perpetual rain) than continue to deal with these problems.

BS. They are leaving the state because its in disarray. I know because I am one of them. You've lived in CA too long. The chaos that exists there is not normal; its dysfunctional. Granted the OC is not as bad as LA but then you've haven't had to deal with a quake or a riot.........yet.
