As a part-time Las Vegas-ite, did you happen to read this decision? It would appear if Vegas wants to see its housing prices increase, they would stop building so many houses. And what better way to limit construction than to limit growth in water supplies?

I followed the Spring Valley water war in the last few years for a client. It's a shame; that's a beautiful area and will eventually look like Owens Valley. Anyway, this decision is a bit of a shocker, and without knowing too much about Nevada politics, I'd guess the Nevada Supreme Court will reverse this judge fairly quickly, whether it was well-reasoned or not. OTOH, the Nevada Supremes have been a bit harsh on water speculators, but I don't think they'll apply the same standard to SNWA.

Hopefully, you don't bet on the Cards. What a schizo bunch.
