Most of the political bag of tricks practiced by Goebbels and Hitler were from the psychology studies of that era by MAslow et al which showed the attention to the reactions and influence of the human psyche which are below his consciousness are most effective in forming opinion and creating assent and consent to leadership. The techniques of persuasion of the CDN Liberals and the Nazis are indistinguishable. This may seem as a dig at their politics, by creating a pejorative association but it more meant as an observation of the application of pure technicals by the persuaders who are after the support of the masses. Most people no doubt believe that the art of the politics now and then is based on purely personality, energy and the times. Only a few realize how carefully planned all the moves a politician on the world stage are. Hitler practiced his speeches in the mirror for hours, and would carefully edit and abridge still photos of himself or the leadership. There was a carefully laid framework of speeches and references lifted from culture and pyschology that was calculated to excite primitive fears, and popular zeal in the heart of the average man. All of this had been proposed by the 1920 and 1930 modern psychology which had its roots in the writings of Mesmer, Jung, Maslow and Freud.
