those really pushing the bill have zip concern about getting elected again and again. all politics is local and these representative come from districts that will send them back over and over. Why, because they represent those in their districts , strong liberals who support these bills.

or in districts that bring millions back to them in set asides. or kick backs.. like rep Murtha does in pa. what do they care if gov builds an airport used three times a week at most. look at the money and jobs it brings to them. we have lost the race in concern for others and its about themselves.

i assume she knows exactly how many seats she can lose because of the bill. In the end it will not change democrat control over the house in the next election. that is the bet she is making.

Democrats are on the way to creating a high structural unemployment rate, much as Europe has done by expanding its welfare states.

Unemployed people are more likely to become disaffected and democrats think they will vote for them.
