I think Rush Limbaugh's point over the weekend on Fox News Sunday is an important one. Contra Frank Rich, the answer for the GOP is not a purging, not a purity test. It's figuring out what the heck it stands for and attracting Americans to that message.

A third party isn't the answer. Winning back the conservative values of the Republican Party is the right way to go.

Third parties always screw up elections. Republicans need a strong candidate with a clear message that resonates with voters. I think there are a couple of republicans out there right now doing some serious soul searching.
