Thanks... I have done consulting work for Huawei on IPR including where they should pursue patents. The advanced wireless and converged network architecture complimented by MIMO-AAS is an area of development that made sense to start pursuing 5-6 years ago. SONs is a major aspect of that. As you know, I call the field of development SDWN, smart distributed WBB network(ing). SONs describes self-organized wireless network capabilities.. however, as you push bandwidth and computing capabilities further out into the network that opens up a range of possibilities that go beyond SONs into distributed storage computing - Cloud 4G/ICT environment.
