In the long perspective, we're all dead. Which will be all that much worse because we will have never realized Quantum's just valuation. Further, I believe that a company should make efforts to ensure that their value is properly reflected in the market so that those shareholders who wish to sell before they die get an appropriate valuation. Maximizing shareholder wealth is an ongoing thing, not something you expect the market to have confidence you will do whenever you decide to get around to doing because it suits you or your stock options are about to expire.. And the lower conversion prices on Quantum's preferred issuances are a perfect example of how the shareholders lost out because Quantum was grossly undervalued at the time of issuance.
