When I was a kid, my parents told me that it was the Europeans and Asians that were always starting wars, and we were always getting dragged into them. But, who's starting the wars NOW? Look in the mirror. We BEG the Europeans and Asians to get involved. Why don't we just STOP and mind our own business? You know.....its one of those bizarre misbeliefs that get perpetrated in American culture. Since WW II, the only war Europeans have asked for our participation is Kosovo.....and only through NATO. The rest of the wars we pretty much started on our own. And yet, we continue to portray ourselves has knights on white horses and are shocked that the rest of the world doesn't see us that way.
