Well, you know, Canada didn't start a war in Iraq.
That saves quite a bundle right there. The quality of the surgery
etc. here is excellent. The taxes are higher here, of course.
Curious, nobody is talking about the collapse of the Canadian
dollar.

It appears you have not visited Canada recently.
Whereas only 10 years ago the population was fairly "homogeneous" in western Canada,
one can now buy pickled monkey brains at the local international supermarket with a choice of 7 different "tangy" sauces.
Bet you don't have that choice selection in the States.

I never understood the rivalry -- I love Canada --

It's been several years ago I was up there and stayed at a bed and breakfast and the toilet paper they had was faux US Dollars and it said the "land of taxation" -- that was very funny ...
