If you wish to make assertion about anyone lying please provide proof.

So lets restate for you:

"I had an argument with a poster who stated that very low numbers of people dropped or denied care. He quoted very specific numbers. I demanded his source.

His source was health insurance executives testifying to congress!"

So what is the problem with that? Or is it to demonstrate that you are argumentative?

On another thread, I had an argument with an insurance company defender who claimed very low numbers of people dropped or denied care. He quoted very specific numbers in a highly partisan format. I demanded his source.

His source was health insurance executives LYING to congress!

If they were "lying to Congress" why were they not brought up on charges? Congress could easily subpoena the records if they wanted to challenge it.

What other source would you suggest? Who else, besides insurance company executives, is in a position to even KNOW this?

What evidence do you have there were any lies involved?

In that post I cited the best evidence available. At no time have you provided any proof that their statements were incorrect.

The citation came from the liberal LA Times and while they criticized the insurance companies as expected, they offered no evidence to the contrary.

If you have a "more credible" source on the subject let's see it. Keep in mind that Obama has not even been able to come up with ANY examples for use in his speeches (and of the three instances cited, has had to walk back EVERY ONE OF THEM).

I say I the evidence is that the Left is misstating the situation (to put it more politely).

Company representatives testified that less than one half of one percent of policies were RESCINDED (less than 0.1% for one of the companies).

Message 25941306

Can you offer evidence they were lying?

Congress was provided "116,000 pages of documents from three large health insurers, which identified a total of about 20,000 rescissions from millions of policies issued by the insurers over a five-year period."

It wasn't just their testimony - the documents they provided supported it.
