This has been killing me since you linked it. I remember some time ago you were quite angry about the govt. and banksters pushing the Dollar and this economy to ruin. They have done a fabulous job. I feel like I did an OK job managing my portfolio over the past 7-9 years. If you use (bart13's/Now and Future's) numbers, my performance might as well be half. Gddamn these crooks. There are rules by which you can run a rational economy. If you set those rules, people can play and compete rationally w/in them. If people play outside the rules, they should get punished. If the rules change, then the changes should not be obfuscated. That, however, is exactly what these fckers do every single step of the way. They put their own short-term profit goals before all else but try to tell you otherwise. They alter govt. statistics. They 'capture' regulatory and enforcement agencies. That guy, LG, who used to post on SI had the tag line, "Think like a thief." God did he have an accurate read. I would have done better had I just adopted that stance wholesale. I look at my holdings and the holdings of my family and I can't believe how much we've been screwed. What's the freaking point of saving or "investing" wisely??? F*ck the bankers and their stooges in DC.
