Depends what you define as "well". Does si make zillions? No. Based on sale price the biz is probably making 20-50k a year. Enough to pay for itself. A dedicated server on backbone will cost $40 per month. Bob is working... On something else Oh, si was making 20-50k a year back in 99, but then it was worth a whole lot more It only makes sense to shut down the thing if it does not make enough to pay for the server. I'm sure it makes enough. Does it make sense for a web developer to waste energy on a lame forum site? Nope. These days there is tons and tons of soft like Si out there, much of it free. But it got the traffic -g-
