45% for Obama, 49% Against – If Election Were Held Right Now
Tuesday, November 03, 2009

Americans are a little less enthusiastic about the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama this time around.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% of adults say they would be at least somewhat likely to vote for Obama if he was up for reelection right now. Forty-nine percent (49%) say they would be unlikely to vote for the president’s reelection.

Republicans Win in Key States

Voters in states expressed concern about jobs and the economy, and some expressed unease over Democratic policies.

"I think there are a lot of questions about whether [the country] is going in the right direction," she said, declining to say for whom she voted. "Obama's slogan last year was change, but I think it's changed a little too much and needs to change back the other way a bit."

Aides: Obama not watching election returns.
Washington (CNN) – President Obama is not planning to watch Tuesday nights election returns, Obama aides Robert Gibbs and David Axelrod tell CNN.

Obama is more likely to watch Tuesday night's Chicago Bulls game than any political coverage, according to Axelrod.

The president's senior staff have also decided not to hold a watch party to keep an eye on election returns as they come in.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was spotted in workout clothes leaving the White House campus at 7 p.m. ET, just as polls were closing in Virginia. Axelrod told CNN he has a dinner outside the White House to attend.

The county was forced to switch over to paper ballots.

They were not planning on counting any votes Tuesday night. We’re told by the Board of Elections, the paper ballots cannot be touched until the absentee ballots are opened a week from Tuesday.

The Board of Elections says they do not know how many people voted, but there are 22 districts in Fulton County.

I have a little free advice for the Extra Thin Man, not because I care what happens to his political future but out of concern for the country.....

First, he needs to realize that there is no mandate for the majority of the things he and his minions and his handlers stand for.....he needs to fire at a minimum 98.3% of his appointees, surround himself with economists that actually understand market driven financial success.

He needs to get familiar with the fundamental truth(as do you, Kenny) that there a few things in the known universe as inefficient and wasteful as any governmental entity.

He needs to get control of his ego and realize that he really does not know much of value past packaging and teleprompter use......There is not much there where the "rubber meets the road" and the sooner he learns that the better.

On the positive side, he sure can wake up the fence sitters in the country.....their very survival has forced them to make a decision.
