Bentway, > Dave, is there ANY circumstance that calls for raising taxes? Inode can answer for himself, but I for one am all for a flat tax on all income above $50K. That's essentially a tax cut for the lower and middle class, maybe a tax hike for the upper middle class, and a real tax hike for the rich whose income usually gets preferential tax treatment. Of course, a flat tax could never happen. Politicians will never give up their favorite tool for meddling (micromanaging) the economy. Tenchusatsu
