Well, NY-23 had to be EMBARRASING to the (R)'s. They let it become such a total clusterf*ck that a district that hadn't sent a (D) to congress since 1852 finally sent another one.

What's funny is how its become very insignificant today. It was this huge thing over the weekend but now.....just a tiny, tiny gnat in the wave of GOP resurgence.

I thought it would turn out this way.......Upstate New Yorkers don't like to be told what to do by outsiders. And the Rs/teabaggers weren't even nice about it. That Dick Armey has got to be one arrogant SOB.

"Sounds like the "official" (R) party is just conceding control to the unelected extreme right wingnuts."

Which is what makes this so interesting. There were signs before, the Limbaugh crawl that several leading politicians wound up doing. Now this.

Frankly, the Republican party is in deeper trouble than I imagined.

And that isn't good.
