That's great! Your attorney grandfather would be proud. China will need a LOT of lawyers to develop all the laws and regulations that come with modern civilization. Even CB/Ilaine will be intrigued.

Of course, once you let the legal genie out of the bottle there will be lots of unintended consequences. People will want clean beaches for surfing, decent bike paths for recreational cycling, pure air for breathing, unpoisoned food, unrestricted internet access, etc. There will be all sorts of rules requiring bicycle helmets, designated smoking areas, tertiary sewage treatment plants, worker's compensation and disability insurance, a 40-hour work-week plus 1.5x overtime wages, state of the art building codes, etc. In 50 years China will be a suffocating kleptocratic nanny state just like New Zealand! :o)
