HRAKA,
This squeeze is different from any you've ever seen before. In most squeezes, the price of a stock goes against the shorter, so a brokerage firm will force the short to cover (similar to a margin call when a stock price declines). Since various shorters have different trigger points, they cover at different times, which is why they play out over time.

In this case, if we are to believe what we are hearing from the DTC, there are no certs left, but there are still requests coming in. They are going to have to come up with them from somewhere and I would expect that there is a certain time limit to do so. You said this situation actually started a week ago. So why haven't they been out getting those required certs for the last week? If they were, I would have expected to see some kind of price rise before today.
