For anyone interested, there is a long article on evidence based medicine in today's Times. I didn't read the whole thing but a search revealed some comments on prostate cancer. I wonder how "evidence based medicine" will be applied in the case of breast and prostate screenings, which we see more and more may not be useful in most cases. I suppose there will be complaints of death squads from the left as well as the right if they try to pull back on that wasted expense.
