Greg

I have not contributed here for a while so It is obvious I am not invested. My general view toward the gold market is bearish and the junior golds even more so. I do however follow some companies for a sign of a change in sentiment (which I do not yet see). Yamana has been sold aggressively in the last three weeks by Wood Gundy primarily and also Midland and Cannacord. It is Gundy who seems to want out of this position at any cost which may have be dictated by a change in corporate policy independant of the prospects for Yamana. If you have not spoken to them it might be a good idea.

All the best

Tony

Greg, The problem as I see it is the YRI has a lot of sniffs and no hits. If I was not in I would not get in. The story is to difuse to attarct a strong story other than someday they must find something. Other than many opportunities to find something - I can't say where a meaningful hit is likely. Bob

Hi Greg'

In any high risk investment, which a junior E&D certianly is, their is always the risk - the longer it takes, the more likely something can go wrong.

The Yamana story is getting old, and for some speculaters there are other more exciting prospects out there.

I liquidated my Yamana position immediately after Bre-X, and am just now starting to starting to pick up the odd jr. gold. When gold turns the corner (signaled by the majors buying - Bema don't count, that's only a 2 yr. option) then I'll take another look at Yamana and others. In the meantime there is lots of action in junior oils and small cap high tech.

The overall market jitters, IMO is making investors of all stripes more careful.

Cheers, Bob
