These are the (R) morons who've been trying to absolve Hoover since the Depression! Good one, Dave!

Half the time these guys post quotes from nutcase blogs... as if anyone that has the basic skills to start a blog and type a post to it is an "expert".

Hoover should not be absolved, he played a role in the formation and continuation of the depression. The problem with most people's understanding of it is that they very falsely believe his role was that of non-interference and laissez-faire, when he actually was very interventionist, more than any other president before him and a number of those after him. His role was one of active bad decisions, not one of sitting around doing nothing.
