Plus, you don't have a dog in this fight, other than how it affects your financial well-being.

If the US decides to take on financial responsibility for health care competitive with countries that don't? Obviously adding to the cost of US produced goods and services?

In the short term, the answer has to be, no.

Any country that forces businesses to incorporate the cost of healthcare into the cost of goods and services is going to have to expect that those goods and services become more expensive.
