The U.S. has reached 10.2% unemployment under Obama and the tax and spend democrats. My fear is it will continue to go higher as employer's fear large tax increases to pay for the gov't takeover of healthcare.

BTW, when Reagan left office the unemployment rate fell to 5%.

The huge 0 is no Ronald Reagan......There's a big difference in the country feeling we were on the right track to economic recovery versus a date with a ice burg in the North Atlantic.

This quote shows a notable difference in the great Ronald Reagan and your guy:

"But there are advantages to being elected President. The day after I was elected, I had my high school grades classified Top Secret."

Reagan was kidding....making a joke instead of being one.

Reagan said:

"Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves."

0 said:

" We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK. That's not leadership. That's not going to happen."

Surely, even you can see a difference.

Reagan said:

"Government always finds a need for whatever money it gets."

&

"Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them."

Your guy:

"What do you think a stimulus is? It's spending - that's the whole point! Seriously."

Along with the classic...."Why can't I just eat my waffle?"

"To paraphrase Winston Churchill, I did not take the oath I have just taken with the intention of presiding over the dissolution of the world's strongest economy."

U.S. Unemployment Rate Hits 10.2%, Highest in 26 Years
By JAVIER C. HERNANDEZ 10:47 AM ET

The number of unemployed rose to 15.7 million in October, as 190,000 nonfarm jobs were lost, the government said, and economists do not expect relief until next year.

Reagan wasn't systemmatically dismantling the American economy and kicking his countrymen in the teeth abroad the way your guy and his henchmen have.

It can hardly be a surprise that unemployment continues to rise. Every piece of domestic legislation enacted and/or being pushed by your lefty brethren is designed to undercut the economy. They won't say that, but it's the effect.

What employer is going to hire under these conditions? Who would expand? Which ones would not cut payroll if they could?
