Motorola signs deal with PT Telkom Indonesia ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., Oct 30 (Reuters) - Motorola Inc (MOT) said Thursday that it has signed a contract to provide PT Telekomunikasi (Telkom) Indonesia with wireless local loop technology for a potential 50,000 to 100,000 subscribers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Motorola said in a statement its Cellular Infrastructure Group will provide a 1.9 GHz WiLL system. The initial deployment of infrastructure equipment in Surabaya, East Java, is planned for completion by the end of the year. PT Telekomunikasi plans to expand the system to provide extensive coverage to the city of Surabaya and its surrounding areas, Motorola said.
