I saw from a couple of sources that roughly 7 million jobs have been lost from the peak in 2007, enough to have a noticeable impact on the economy but not the end of the world as we know it with more than 100 million people still making a living for themselves and their families.

Is it your point that is good enough?

Unfortunately that 10.2% is only of those who are officially counted. If a person drops off the roles, he still may not be working. Estimates of the number actually out of work are more like 17-18%. Leaving 82-83% with work.

Oh. and many of those that are working are now at Burger King, MacDonalds, KFC. WalMart, and all sorts of other high paying jobs.
