Christianity flowed from the Jewish tribal mythologies mixed with Mithraism, Zoroastrianism, Greek thought and various "pagan" and gnostic paths. As in ALL religions, there was a formal core which controlled the movement (just as in any association)--let us call it the Priesthood. The "Priesthood (going right back to Moses and Aaron) received goods and services from the community of believers in order to enrich their own families. The paying flock is controlled (as always) through superstitious appeal to self interest. It is NEVER about love or service. It is about an imaginary reward (special treatment here and hereafter but if not here at least hereafter. It is about leaving your goats and sheep for Aaron and his family so that he will connect you to God's blessing. People like greg or e take self interest to a new extreme. They are obsessed with SELF and the superstitious belief in ETERNAL SELF. BLIND AND STUPID LITTLE F-CKS. Turn to any station or visit any church or auditorium.
