I just started reading "The Forgotten Man." I'd highly recommend you all read it so you can get an idea where this rape of the middle class got its start. I have that book (courtesy of Josh) on the bedside table. Need to start reading it.

I'm going to try to change the mindset of as many of the people in my circle, who I know are koolaiders, as I can. In some cases, it won't be easy, and I know I'm risking losing their friendship. It is truly amazing that there are still some very hard core followers out there. They refuse to even listen and consider. One friend turned bright red and said, "Either change the subject or I'm leaving." This during a card game when I made a comment about how ridiculous global warming is.
