but I'm just tired of wading through a majority of posts that are to/from/about Kenneth Phillips I agree. This thread has been ruined because of the back and forth with him. There are good posters here but indulging his banter has just gotten to be too much. Suggest everyone ignore him.

As best as I can tell and FWIW, it is not much different than having the speaker of the house posting here.....Kenny is a parrot of the same twisted logic that is currently in seats of power. His "thoughts" are a peep hole into the intrusions coming our way if his side is not roundly defeated at the polls. The late Neocon once told me that the reason he spent so much time and effort posting to folks with opposite & intractable points of view had more to do with with the chance that he might sway the lurkers. I think he knew that he would not make a dent in the committed leftest that he was answering here on S.I.......I doubt Kenny could sway many over the age of 11 or those with triple digit i.q.'s. Most posts on the opinion threads are some version of something we have said in the past, especially mine(damn I'm boring...;>)...) so there are precious few "surprises" in what is said from most of us. One of the functions(other than sharing my blueberry pie recipe) of S.I. is and always has been a place to vent, which is a line I've probably used on here 40 times..... Kenny consistently attacks a point of view that many of us treasure, but it is rarely a personal attack on individual posters despite considerable bait to do so. I think Ann has been correct in not banning him. Having said all that, I'm going to try to refrain from poking fun at the old fart.....and it is not because of any lobbying efforts.
