Thanks for the post. Although good news for semis seems to be discounted by the market currently, this news will eventually result in a higher price for IDTI!

The entire semi market is in a more favorable market climate currently than it has been in for the past 18 months. The cycle of lowered prices for semis has helped stimulate a robust new round of electronic equipment product development that is resulting in higher than previously forecast semi industry sales. This trend is expected to continue to improve throughout the next several quarters, resulting in healthy, manageable, growth for most sectors of the semi industry (DRAMS being the one major exclusion). Stable prices on SRAMs not only will help increase profits directly from that product but the general strength of the market will spill over into helping IDTI to increase margins on all fronts. Although not purely a sellers market, a situtation that ends up being unhealthy for the electronics industry, the bloodthursty competitive pressures to lower prices have been reduced greatly.

I think the semis are now ripe for investment - while they are still mostly out of favor. If we get some upsets and further dips between now and the 1st quarter of '98, that's great - fill up while the gettings good.
