Mike has extensive connection with telcos through his tenure with Pac Bell, SBC. He also has relationship w/ some of the largest multinational enterprises in the world, GE, Adidas. Especially when ASND is making a push into the enterprise network espousing the trendy concept of using the public data network as the VPN w/ FR connected to Internet. The connection w/ telcos is important as telcos will go thru some major upgrade mid98 to combine voice+data+fax. Furthermore, telcos will deploy xDSL in late 98 while ASND already had the carrier-class DSLTNT and DSLPipe Remote Access routers. xDSL and the convergence og voice+data+fax will fuel the NW growth in 98-beyond 2000. xDSL will one day become commonplace as 56K modem. He is well-respected in the financial community w/ lots of M&A experience having been instrumental in several mergers. He has the unusual combination of having worked for rapidly growing, entrepreneurial ompanies and very large companies such as Pac Bell, SBC, and GE.
