Mr. Weis,
I'm curious.........what is your thought on Dell at this juncture?
Although I am still short via puts, I am curious as to your position since I know you are one of the Dell Heads!
All the best!
RW

David:

---->So, do you think the 35K permutations that are being calculated provide a good enough knowledge base?

He says it is.

On the horses, he set up five different programs using same inputs (ten factors) and tried 20 k , 35k, 50k, 100k and 250k. or somesuch in that area.
As you know the reason for the five seperate programs, but the other readers here might not, the learning process has to use only new info, it can't be accurate and relearn from the same info or old data it has already used.
Anyway, 35k proved accurate to within his parameters.
That was five years or so ago, but periodically he'll set up a new program and have it crunch 250k while the old one is doing 35k and the answers are within 1%.

I think currently for the support and resistance numbers that I use for all equities and the OEX have a high degree of validity.
For example today, I posted to Pat the Putz aka Duke of URL on the Stock Swap thread with about 30 minutes to close that if OEX 873 didn't hold the afternoon slide he was wishing for could happen.
Pull an interday graph and look at the testing of OEX 873 for the last hour.

----->I was running mine on a 286-20MHz

Shoot David, We started running this stuff we have evloved it into on a Apple II E and a TRS 80 model 3. heh heh heh
Matter of fact when I first started I was using a TI 99 and can remember thinking I had died and gone to heaven when I got an Eagle running CPM.

We both are big belivers in culling down and getting it simple cause my mind is VERY simple oriented.

When my wife was working on her Phd (stopped with ten or twelve hours to go cause of health) she had me taking all those tests that they have in the Ed Phsyc dept so you can see what you want to be when you grow up and what you are suited for, etc........I came out to be a blend of all that stuff and was destined to always be a child at heart so for years we have told people that I have three kids and she has four.......ggggggg
.
Regards-----Nemer
