So when people reject what a thing it is still mainstream.

I didn't claim in my rejoinder that it was mainstream, only that is was familiar and ordinary and ergo not radical. To be radical it has to be "out there." "Mainstream" is only one basis for comparison with "radical."

You most certainly did. You stated twice that if a small minority that you pronounced to be a significant number were doing a thing it was mainstream.

Huh?

Do you not understand the conceptual difference between "OK" and "mainstream"? The former is a value judgment that something is acceptable. The latter is an observation that it is widely practiced. You keep mixing concepts. I say that fall foliage is colorful and you claim I said it was pretty. Try a bit of critical thinking for a change. It's not that hard. You just have to read actively and refrain from twisting the words.

You don't have to like the logical extension of your argument, you only have to either live with it or disavow it.

The key word is "logical." If you come up with a logical one, I will live with it.
