Ted, > Pray tell, what has been confirmed?

Any incidence of racism, especially against Muslims, is taken VERY seriously by the military. Even name-calling like "towelhead" is highly discouraged. Any enlisted soldier caught making such comments is dealt with very harshly. Any officer caught making such comments will have a quick path toward early retirement.

The key is getting "caught". And even when they get caught, justice is dependent upon the superior officer in charge; to whit, the soldier who got raped in the latrine was criticized by her captain for leaving her weapon at her post. Rape and slurs against gays and certain ethnic minorities are all too oommon in the military. And frequently, little is done about it:

You still believe everything the mainstream media tells you.

Yes, when presented factually. I am more inclined to believe in them than in hearsay.
