It was a terrorist attack from day one. So far, its one perpetrated by an American soldier. We may find out later that he had connections to other terrorists. Time will tell.


Well, a mass shooting is not always called terrorism, such as in cases someone goes postal because he got fired, or bullied etc. Generally, one has to subscribe to some twisted ideology to be called a terrorist, such as being an islamist jihadist.

It was not clear on day one that this was the case.
