No, never have...My folks used to have one, and for years, I didn't know of another way to cook potatoes.. Generally, I think it's just as easy to cook it on the stove top, or in the oven. Used to love PorkyPine Meatballs (meatballs with rice in them, in a tomato sauce)....but finally figured out I could do them in the oven with a tight lid just as well. Great cast iron dutch oven!

In the next couple of weeks, I'm going to make Hobo Dinner, but instead of cooking them outside, I'm going to use parchment paper, and put the ground beef, onions, potatoes and carrot slices with W Sauce, and bake them for about 45 minutes or so.... Yummmmmmm....maybe will do that sooner than a couple of weeks... Good with a salad and Italian bread (even better with Smithee's Italian bread....)
