I can understand the comfort factor can be a worthwhile. I'm a bit old school and didn't even get a cell phone till five years ago. :)

I got one of those lap boards at Costco for $20. It's better for laptop computing than anything I've tried, including a mechanical drawing board, a folding table, a pillow, and nothing at all.
