Here's a strategy. Underpay your income taxes for several years and put the money into gold. Then file amended tax returns and pay off all your taxes owed and penalties and interest, selling enough gold to meet the bill.

Of course, your return address might end up being a federal prison.

Legal way to do same: take maximum IRA and 401K deductions and buy GLD.

So how would this affect a current mortgage at say $1000.00 per month? Will they somehow convert this contract to something else??? That’s the part I am trying to figure out. Are we smart to have big mortgages?
