RW, personally I don't believe that Hasan merely snapped because of his upcoming deployment. There's evidence that this guy has been sympathizing with the Islamic extremist movement for years.

However, I'm wavering on the whole Al Qaeda thing. It seems the e-mails between him and the radical Muslim leader were rather mundane and did not draw too much suspicion from the FBI at the time. At least that's what the NYTimes says.

It's kind of pathetic how these clowns want to keep the AQ bogeyman inflated, isn't it? Time we moved on to solving some REAL problems facing our country, but these idiots just can't let the "War on Terror" go. The world is leaving us in it's dust.
