Obama is on pace to increase the federal budget by one trillion dollars before his first term is up.

That's going to be one heck of a "multiplier effect" ... LOL


The problem is that government spending has a subtractive effect. With private enterprise you get a multiplier from new economic activity. Government growth subtracts from the economic activity before the multiplier.

There is a multiplier effect from government growth but it is very small compared to pure capitalism. This is why the Chinese realized they had to abandon communism and become capitalistic.
