OT: I appreciated the correction to the Dylan Thomas death story. I was heaving a sigh at reading the recitation of the myth and was relieved to see it set straight. One additional aspect of that situation was that a number of foolish American academics kept giving Thomas more liquor, imagining that this was proper Bohemian (or Welsh) behavior. But eighteen whiskeys would be more than a fifth and that's enough to kill a great many people even if spaced over a 12-hour period. The Fed's famous punch bowl is filled with Everclear grain alcohol.
