"you admit "We know next to nothing about anything."" In the big picture. But we know a bit of history and a bit of science. We know biblical cures were superstition-based and horrific. We know that we have survived for the last thousand years by replacing religious superstition/hatred/ Chosen People Superiority with Constitutional Rights and Democracy. We know that diseases are not caused by "demons" and that we can help people with antibiotics and other medical interventions. We know that what primitive people (such as the mythic Jesus) called "demons" were simply germs. We know the historical folk tales (Gilgamesh, et al) that went into the "bible" were all threads of primitive cultures trying to explain their world. But we still have millions and millions of people absolutely polarized because they truly believe they are endowed with the TRUTH and the HOLY SWORD while the rational people caught in the middle of these superstitious ruffians plead for you ignorant people to STOP.
